98 year old dobri dobrev, a man who lost his hearing in the second world war, walks 10 kilometers from his village in his homemade clothes and leather shoes to the city of sofia, where he spends the day begging for money.
though a well known fixture around several of the city’s chruches, known for his prostrations of thanks to all donors, it was only recently discovered that he has donated every penny he has collected — over 40,000 euros — towards the restoration of decaying bulgarian monasteries and churches and the utility bills of orphanages, living instead off his monthly state pension of 80 euros.
there’s still good in this world
this man is more amazing than most people in the owrld.

THIS IS GONNA BE THE FIRST EVER POST IN ALL CAPS.
TO SHOW HOW PISSED I AM.
I FEEL LIKE EVERYTHING’S MY FAULT. EVERY FREAKING THING.
MY DAD SCOLDS ME FOR NOT DOING THINGS WELL.
MY TEACHERS HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MY RESULTS.
MY FRIEND(S) ARE UNHAPPY WITH ME.
THE ONE PERSON I THOUGHT I COULD RELY ON THE MOST SAYS I’M IN THE WRONG TOO.
AND I HATE MYSELF.
WHAT IS MY PROBLEM.
WHY DO I GET UPSET SO EASILY.
WHY CAN’T I JUST HAVE NO FEELINGS AT ALL.
WHY CAN’T I JUST ISOLATE MYSELF FROM ALL THESE FREAKING PPL SO THAT I DON’T HURT ANYONE OR UPSET ANYONE.
WHY MUST I CARE.
I AM THE CAUSE OF EVERYONE’S TROUBLE.
IF ONLY I CAN VANISH AND FREAKING DISAPPEAR FROM THIS FREAKING WORLD.
“Just that,” said the fox. “To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world….”
